Since early in the season – actually before the season – the media coverage about Jim Harbaugh’s future with the San Francisco 49ers has been nonstop. Whenever they lose – which unfortunately this year has been relatively often – the rumors and coverage multiplies. Thursday’s night’s loss against the Seattle SeahJimDandyawks was as poor an offensive performance as the Niners have seen in a long time. And fans and the media are right to question coaching decisions. However, the constant distraction of whether Harbaugh will stay or go and the rumors on who likes him and who doesn’t, cannot help but affect a team and make whatever issues it has worse.

There are four games to go in the regular season, and the 49ers are in the middle of the race for a playoff spot. As a fan, that is my focus. This is the time when the team and the coach need the greatest support and confidence from the Faithful who’ve seen this group play in the Super Bowl two years ago and last year’s NFC Championship game – this team that was a couple plays away from winning both. So let’s focus on the Oakland Raiders and talk about personnel decisions in January, or better yet February—hey, hope springs eternal.
