Carlos Hyde was born September 20, 1991 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Ohio State University (nobody’s perfect), before being drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Hyde spent a season learning from the great Frank Gore, before taking over as the Niners’ #1 running back.

To date, he has 1,682 yards rushing and 13 rushing touchdowns in his career and is coming off a career high game in which he rushed for 193 yards against the New York Jets. Hyde is definitely a fan favorite, so I sat down with him after practice last week to learn a little more about the Buckeye alum with 5 Fun Facts.

Watch to learn:

1) One of his favorite pastimes and his biggest moment to date doing so.
2) What game he won a trophy for and when (hint: it has nothing to do with football).
3) His favorite food and his favorite place to get it in the Bay Area.
4) His favorite movie.
5) His favorite tv show – it’s pretty awesome. It involves Polar Bears.

Hyde was even kind enough to give us a couple of bonus facts. Enjoy and Go Niners!
