The San Francisco 49ers have had six days of training camp, and linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong has looked good thus far. He’s competing at a position where the 49ers have talent and a hot new rookie in Reuben Foster, so it’s tough out there.

For Foster’s part, with NaVorro Bowman having a veteran’s day off and Brock Coyle leaving practice with any injury, the rookie saw a lot of time with the first team. It was not a perfect day, but he did end practice with two would-be sacks.

But, back to Ray-Ray. Armstrong had the only interception of practice today, on a pass thrown by rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard. He’s definitely looking to secure a position on this team, after missing much of last season due to injury.

Let’s get to know the linebacker a little bit better with 5 Fun Facts! Watch to learn:

  • His favorite food and where he likes to get it
  • The other sports he plays when he’s not on the football field
