5 Fun Facts About 49ers’ Torrey Smith

By October 25, 2016 No Comments

We are about a week before the NFL trading deadline, and the rumors about who the 1-6 San Francisco 49ers may or may not trade have begun. It started with left tackle Joe Staley on Sunday, and now there is speculation that the Niners are in talks with the Philadelphia Eagles to trade wide receiver Torrey Smith.

Smith came to Santa Clara last season from the Baltimore Ravens. He is the 49ers’ highest paid receiver, but he has been severely underutilized during his tenure in the red and gold.

Smith is truly one of the great guys in the NFL. He is a family man, does great work in the community, and truly cares about the world around him and making it better. The 49ers have been lucky to have him on and off the field. I hope he stays, but this football is a business, so anything can happen.

I had the chance to talk to Smith after practice a couple weeks back, and whether he finishes the season here, Philly, or elsewhere, you’ll enjoy getting to know him a little better with 5 Fun Facts About Torrey Smith.

Watch to find out:

  • His favorite movie
  • His favorite outdoor activity that’s not football and his other best “catch”
  • The player he hates most on the team (though I’m 99.9% sure he was kidding)
  • His new cooking skill and what he’s been making
  • And his favorite television show, as well as the network he watches most.
