1. Talk about timing! Not only did Austin hit the game-tying homer in Game 1 of the NLCS on Saturday, he got the game-winning walk-off hit, too. To add to the excitement, that walk-off hit was Austin’s first ever in his career, a moment he’s dreamed of forever!
  2. Hey DJ! Back in June, Austin got to take over the ballpark as Batting Practice DJ for a day, and his playlist was pretty great. While he names country as his favorite genre, his BP Playlist features music from artists like Brad Paisley, Luke Combs, Jay-Z, and Ludacris!
  3. Dad or coach? Actually…both! Austin says his dad was the person who influenced and motivated him to play baseball, and was even his coach all the way from Little League through high school. To this day, Austin refers to his dad as his best friend!
  4. Welcome to the great outdoors. You guessed it! When Austin isn’t playing baseball, you’ll likely find him spending time with family and friends outside. He enjoys escaping to nature, and is a pretty avid hunter and fisher.
  5. He’s on the clock…literally! When it comes to pre-game preparation, Austin says he’s super routine-oriented. In fact, he sticks to the same schedule before every single game, making sure each part of his routine is always done at the exact same time.

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
