- A hot new bombshell has entered the villa, and she’s a 2x Paralympian! Before Love Island, Beatriz represented Team USA at two Paralympic Games and won bronze in the T64 long jump at Paris 2024. That’s a pretty tough dating profile to compete with.
- She started track because of a dare. Hatz grew up playing softball, basketball, and skiing before someone challenged her to try track in high school. Fast forward a few years and she’s competing on the biggest athletics stages in the world!
- She has absolutely zero interest in being underestimated. One of her personal mottos is: “Tell me I can’t do something, I’m going to do it better than you.” It’s a mindset that’s carried her from Team USA to the Love Island villa, and likely explains why she’s never been afraid to bet on herself.
- She’s helping redefine what it means to be an athlete. Born with fibular hemimelia, Hatz underwent a below-the-knee amputation at 10 months old and has had 11 surgeries throughout her life. Today, she’s one of the loudest voices for representation in sports, saying, “We’re not disabled athletes. We’re athletes. Period.”
- She can probably steal your man in English AND Spanish! Beatriz is proudly Mexican-American, speaks Spanish, and has spoken about the importance of staying connected to her culture.
