- Brandon is living the ultimate full-circle moment as the Cowboys kicker, born and raised in Plano, Texas. From a Texas kid to the Cowboys’ starting kicker, talk about a hometown dream come true!
- Brandon was no stranger to Texas but wasn’t always familiar with football (American football, that is 😉). He grew up playing soccer and even won a National Championship at Notre Dame. After being drafted by Toronto FC in the MLS, his journey took a surprising turn to the NFL.
- Cowboys QB Dak Prescott gave Brandon the nickname “Butter” because of his smooth skills on the field. As Dak puts it, “ “Butter Aubrey. Smooth. Has been since the day he showed up.”
- Before kicking record-breaking field goals, Brandon was kicking it as a software engineer! After his soccer career, he majored in Computer Science at Notre Dame and worked in tech before making a big pivot back to the field.
- Growing up, Brandon’s family always watched Cowboys games together, and his mom gifted him a Dez Bryant jersey when he was a college freshman. She also gave a matching one to his wife Jenn, originally a Chiefs fan, but she now proudly rocks #17, of course!
