- After 12 seasons in the NFL, DeAndre Hopkins is finally making his FIRST Super Bowl appearance this Sunday. Now, he’s not just looking to add to his legendary career – he wants a ring!
- You probably know him as “DHop,” but his OG nickname is “Nuk,” thanks to his mom, who said he went through Nuk pacifiers like crazy as a baby. Given his hands, it’s safe to say he never outgrew the ‘no drops’ mentality.
- Speaking of hands, DeAndre has one of the lowest drop rates in NFL history. In 2018, he didn’t drop a single pass (!!!), and across his entire career, he’s only dropped 35 of 1,465 targets. Translation? If the ball’s coming his way, it’s getting caught.
- DeAndre honors his parents in deeply personal ways. His mother Sabrina was blinded in a 2002 acid attack, and since then, Hopkins has made it a tradition to hand her the football after every touchdown he scores. And in tribute to his late father, who passed away in a car accident, DeAndre plans to wear his cherished mink jacket to the Super Bowl.
- DeAndre has been into fashion since childhood, so much so that people used to call him “Ralph” because he wore so much Ralph Lauren. He’s got a top-tier wardrobe (his prized possession is a vintage Maison Margiela vest, one of only three ever made), and one day, he wants to design clothes for women that represent all body types. No stylists needed!
