  1. The End of an Era. After 20 legendary seasons, Diana Taurasi has officially retired from the WNBA. With three NCAA titles, three WNBA championships, six Olympic gold medals, and over 10,000 career points (!!!), she’s walking away “full and happy.”
  2. GOAT Talk. First to 5,000 points. Then 7,000. And, of course, the first to hit 10,000. Diana didn’t just break records, she rewrote the standard for greatness, becoming the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer and making sure her name will NEVER be forgotten.
  3. Believe it or not, Diana actually preferred soccer over basketball growing up. It took some convincing from her dad to make the switch, and considering she became the greatest scorer in WNBA history… we’d say he had a point.
  4. Is she the WNBA logo? The league claims their logo wasn’t inspired by any one player, but with the bun, the swagger, and the GOAT status? Let’s be real…it definitely has some DT energy.
  5. The late, great Kobe Bryant himself gave Diana the nickname ‘White Mamba,’ recognizing her fearless, take-no-prisoners style of play. And just like Kobe, she didn’t just win, she changed the game forever!
