  1. Hunter is married to gold medal Olympian Tara Davis-Woodhall. They met at a track meet in 2017 during their senior year of high school. Hunter described it as love at first sight, saying, “I was like, ‘Damn, that girl’s fine. I’m gonna marry that girl.” 
  1. The Mayor of Hunter’s hometown Syracuse, Utah deemed September 15th “Hunter Woodhall Day” after he won a bronze and a silver medal at the 2016 Paralympics.
  2. When Hunter was just 11-months-old, both of his legs were amputated due to a congenital birth defect known as fibular hemimelia. Despite being told he might never walk, he grew up playing soccer, baseball, basketball, wrestling, football, track, snow skiing, knee boarding, and wakeboarding!
  3. One for the history books! Hunter became the first-ever double amputee to earn an NCAA Division I athletic scholarship, competing for the University of Arkansas. 
  4. You may have noticed Hunter’s scissors tattoo above his right knee. He chose that design because he “wanted an easier way to let all the people asking now how I lost my legs. I don’t like when people take things too serious, and this tattoo always makes people a little more comfortable.”
