1. After playing in The Finals with the Heat last season, Jae had to make a choice: where to sign next. He ultimately decided to join the Suns, but get this. He actually had offers from 14 teams (!!!), and was even told he’d regret signing with a team that hadn’t been to the playoffs in 10 years. Who’s laughing now?!
  2. It’s not too often college teammates get to play together in the NBA. But last season with the Heat, Jae got to do just that when he teamed up with Jimmy Butler! The two played together at Marquette for a year and made it all the way to the Sweet 16.
  3. Basketball is in his blood! Jae’s dad, Corey, played basketball professionally for 14 years, including 58 games in the NBA with the Utah Jazz and San Antonio Spurs. He’s been one of Jae’s biggest mentors, guiding him through everything that comes with NBA life.
  4. No stranger to GQ’s “Best Dressed” list, Jae’s actually in the process of launching his very own merch line. Named “BO99MANN” after his nickname (BOSSMANN) and number (99), the line of clothing and accessories is expected to drop this year!
  5. He LOVES being a girl dad! Jae says he tries to be the very best dad he can be for his 7-year-old daughter, Jada. He does everything he can to protect her, support her, and make her happy, including dressing up as Willy Wonka for her 5th birthday!

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
