1. History made. Jamal became the first NBA player ever to average 30 PPG on 50/40/90 shooting in Conference Finals history. His performance helped lead the Denver Nuggets to their first-ever NBA Finals appearance.
  2. Old school vibes. Jamal’s favorite genre of music is hip-hop which he got into because of his dad. His favorite era is ‘80s and ‘90s hip-hop and his favorite artists are Wu-Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes and Michael Jackson from that time.
  3. Jazz hands. Jamal has played the alto saxophone since he was in the seventh grade. He recently learned how to play the piano and also wants to learn how to play the violin!
  4. Zen master. Jamal practices meditation before and after games, which his dad taught him the importance of as a kid. During Game 2 of the WCF, he mediated during halftime which led to a 23-point 2nd half.
  5. No phone no problem. Jamal did not get a cell phone until he began his freshman year of college. He also rarely watched TV growing up, spending most of his free time at the gym.
