1. In just his second season as an everyday player, Jarren clinched the AL’s 5-3 comeback victory in the 2024 All-Star Game with a two-run homer. This feat made him the first Red Sox player since J.D. Drew in 2008 (and only the fifth in franchise history!!) to earn the game’s MVP award.
2. Beyond his impressive stats, Jarren’s All-Star season is a testament to his resilience. He’s been open about his mental health struggles early in his career, and in March, he shared an inspiring Instagram post with the message, “To the mental demons that almost got me I say ‘F*ck ‘Em!’ Cause we’re still alive.”
3. Speedster! Jarren is known for his incredible speed on the field, making him one of the fastest players in MLB. His quickness has earned him the nickname “Flash” among his teammates.
4. When asked about his time at Long Beach State, Jarren credited the college for instilling a gritty mentality in its players. “Nothing was going to be handed to me, and I had to work for every single thing that I got.”
5. Born and raised in the United States, Jarren chose to represent Mexico at the 2023 World Baseball Classic, honoring his father’s roots and proudly embracing his Mexican heritage.
