1. He is MLB. No, really! Mookie’s real name is Markus Lynn Betts…initials M.L.B. But get this, his name is actually two middle names. Markus comes from his dad’s middle name, Mark, and Lynn from his mom’s middle name, Lynn. #BornWithIt
  2. First season in LA and already making a difference. Earlier this month, Mookie partnered with Pull Up Neighborhood for a Grab-And-Go in Compton. They provided free hand sanitizer, masks, fresh food, and even voter registration to everyone who stopped by. Now THAT’S an MVP!
  3. We ALL know that Mookie won the World Series as a member of the Red Sox in 2018, but did you know he’s also a bowling champ? Last year, Mookie competed in Chris Paul’s PBA Celebrity Invitational with pro bowler Tommy Jones AND WON IT. #talent
  4. Back in 2011 before they were big time, Mookie roomed with Jackie Bradley Jr. As you’d expect, their place was THE place to be! Their teammates would always come by to game and chill…sometimes staying over until 2am!!! #TeamNoSleep
  5. What’s on TV? Probably “SpongeBob SquarePants”. SpongeBob has been Mookie’s favorite show since high school (FYI Squidward is his fav). But, you can also catch him watching some of his fiancée’s fav shows like “Real Housewives” and “Say Yes To The Dress”. Seriously, what a guy!

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
