1. ROTY. Rhyne was named the 2022 WNBA Rookie of the Year after receiving 53 of 56 votes from the media. She led all rookies this season in points (16.2), assists (2.8), steals (1.6) and minutes per game (31.4).
  2. Greek life. Basketball was not the only thing Rhyne participated in at the University of Kentucky. She became a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, a historically African American sorority, while attending the university.
  3. Artistic touch. Rhyne enjoys to draw or paint in her free time. She didn’t like art classes because she didn’t want to be told what to draw and prefers to draw cartoon characters such as Lola and Bugs Bunny.
  4. Top cat. Rhyne finished her Kentucky career as the women’s all-time leading scorer with 2,290 career points. She ranks second all-time overall in Kentucky basketball (men’s or women’s) history.
  5. Pork chops and green beans. That’s the meal Rhyne would pick if she could only eat one meal for the rest of her life. She doesn’t enjoy cooking and would rather have someone cook the meal for her.

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
