San Francisco 49ers’ rookie minicamp has come and gone, and there are a lot of new people for fans to meet, starting with the draft picks.
Next up on 5 Fun Facts: Meet the Rookies is fifth-round cornerback D.J. Reed. Size-wise, the rookie is not your typical cornerback. He stands at 5’9″ but he has 10-inch hands and arms that measure at 31 5/8 inches. Those attributes will come in handy.
At camp, he played at nickel and free safety. Reed has said his versatility and athleticism are some of his best qualities as a player, saying on Friday that he wanted to learn and get out on the field quickly.
