1. WNBA Finals MVP. Chelsea was named the 2022 WNBA Finals MVP after her Las Vegas Aces won their first WNBA Championship on Sunday. She averaged 18.3 PPG, 58.0 FG PCT and 6.0 APG throughout the Finals.
  2. Very superstitious. Chelsea biggest superstition is putting her right sock and right shoe on first before every game. If she doesn’t, she will take her socks and shoes off and start it all over again.
  3. Offseason broadcaster. Chelsea is a college basketball analyst for the ACC Network during the WNBA offseason. She started with the network in 2021, appearing on ACCN’s weekly “Ladies Night Coverage” and serving as an in-game analyst.
  4. Hung in the rafters. Chelsea had her high school No. 3 jersey retired by her former school St. Mary’s in Stockton, California in January. She won two state titles (2009-10) in high school and is one of the most decorated players to come out of the program.
  5. Pride activist. In 2020, Chelsea and her wife Tipesa teamed up with drag star Peppermint and the network Freeform for a video series about LGBTQ+ history and being black and queer. The series was called “How We Got Here” and was part of Pride Month.
