- It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s Stephen Nedoroscik! Stephen, dubbed the “Clark Kent” of the Games, went viral for his bespectacled appearance and superhero-like transformation. He’d be seen napping or relaxing during events, only to whip off his glasses and absolutely SLAY on the pommel horse!
- Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, Stephen is an electrical engineering graduate from Penn State University. His “nerdy” profession and appearance have endeared him to us all!
- A man of many talents! Stephen finds stress relief in solving Rubik’s cubes, and even jokes that it’s good for wrist rehab, blending his hobbies with his training.
- Stephen relies on feel, not sight, while competing due to an eye condition called strabismus, or cross-eyes. He even forgoes the goggles he once wore during collegiate gymnastics, further proving his beast status!
- Stephen’s signature ear tug is a heartfelt tribute to his late grandfather, his “dziadziu,” who was his idol and a World War II veteran. This special gesture, carried on from his time at Penn State, is his way of saying “Hey” to everyone he loves, keeping his grandfather’s memory alive.
