U.S. Women’s Basketball Team
They’re looking for gold.
After beating Australia, 85-64, in the semifinals Friday night in Paris, the United States women’s basketball team heads to Sunday’s final. If they win, it will be the team’s eighth consecutive gold medal. That, my friends, is impressive.
The game will take place at 3:30 pm ET/12:30 pm PT and can be seen live on the USA Network and can be streamed on Peacock NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, NBC app and the NBC Olympics app.

Carolina Panthers
It was a scary trip home for the Carolina Panthers when their flight back from their preseason loss to New England ran off the taxiway at Charlotte Douglas Airport very early Friday morning. The plane was the team’s charter that was carrying both players and staff. Luckily, no one was injured.
NFL Updates
- Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Rondale Moore (knee) has been placed on the reserve/injured list and will miss the 2024 season. Moore was injured in a 11-on-11 drills during Wednesday’s joint practice with the Miami Dolphins.
- Per reports, the Patriots have released wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.
- Jim Harbaugh will be an honorary captain at Michigan’s home opener on August 31. This counts as an NFL update, because he’s an NFL coach now. But also, Go Blue!
