World Series
It’s finally here! After months of strikeouts, home runs, stellar defensive plays and everything in between, it is finally time for the World Series, and it’s going to be a good one.
Meeting in the Fall Classic for the first time in over 40 years, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees face off in Game 1 on Friday night from Dodger Stadium. It will be Jack Flaherty on the mound for LA and Gerrit Cole for New York.
And, of course, we get personal fave Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge in the same World Series. I quite literally cannot wait.
And, also, Go Dodgers!

Christian Darrisaw and the Vikings
Not only did the Minnesota Vikings lose to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night, they also lost one of their key offensive players, and that’s worse. LT Christian Darrisaw suffered a knee injury late in the first half, and the Vikings say it’s a torn ACL and MCL.
Darrisaw was drafted 23rd overall by the Vikings in 2021 and signed a four-year, $113 million contract extension this past offseason.
Week 8 NFL Injury Updates
- 49ers’ WR Deebo Samuel (wrist, illness) and TE George Kittle (foot) are both questionable for Sunday night against the Cowboys.
- Washington Commanders’ QB Jayden Daniels (rib) is still TBD for Sunday’s game. If he can’t go, it will be Marcus Mariota under center.
- Bengals’ WR Tee Higgins (quad) is questionable for Sunday’s game.
- Browns’ RB Jerome Ford (hamstring) will miss his second game in a row when Cleveland faces the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
