NFL Week 15 Injury Updates

  • Bills’ wide receiver Keon Coleman will return to the lineup on Sunday against the Lions.
  • CB Marshon Lattimore will make his Commanders’ debut against the Saints on Sunday.
  • Steelers’ WR George Pickens (hamstring) is out for Sunday against the Eagles.
  • Packers’ CB Jaire Alexander (knee) is out for Sunday against the Seahawks.
  • The Jets expect RB Breece Hall (knee) back this week against the Jaguars.

Odell Beckham Jr.

In what was said to be a mutual decision, the Miami Dolphins released WR Odell Beckham Jr. on Friday. Beckham, who signed a one-year deal with Miami this past offseason, missed practice this week for personal reasons.

After an offseason knee injury, Beckham made his Miami debut in October, finishing his tenure with nine catches for 55 yards.

De’Vondre Campbell and the 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers suffered a tough loss to the Los Angeles Rams Thursday night, one that essentially removed them from the playoff picture, but beyond that, they suffered a very strange event, when LB De’Vondre Campbell said he didn’t want to play anymore and ended up leaving in the fourth quarter.

Campbell signed with the 49ers this offseason to provide depth while LB Dre Greenlaw recovered from an Achilles tear that happened in the Super Bowl. Campbell started 12 games for San Francisco, but Greenlaw – one of the 49ers’ defensive stars – returned Thursday night. Campbell was asked to sub in in the second quarter, and then again in the third when Greenlaw experienced soreness. He refused.

The 49ers have not decided what to do in terms of a release or suspension, but Kyle Shanahan said on Friday that the linebacker would not be with the team moving forward.

MLB Notes

  • Per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Houston Astros are trading OF Kyle Tucker to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for third baseman Isaac Paredes, pitcher Hayden Wesneski and minor-league prospect Cam Smith.
  • The New York Yankees and the Milwaukee Brewers have struck a deal – closer Devin Williams goes to New York in exchange for LHP Nestor Cortes, prospect Caleb Durbin and cash considerations.
