His racist tirade caused uproar and the result was the eventual sale of the team to Steve Ballmer, a fan favorite across the league with some intense dance moves. The billionaire is as much a fan of the team as he is an owner and a can’t miss highlight reel on the sidelines. Mark Cuban was one of the first owners to be part of the mainstream media and nowadays, owners have taken on a celebrity like status.
Is it good or bad for the NBA that the owners have taken on a celebrity status?
