Jim Harbaugh and Michigan Football
Michigan Football is under investigation for in-person scouting and sign stealing. On Friday, the Big Ten suspended head coach Jim Harbaugh from being on the sideline on gameday for the remainder of the regular season. He can coach during the week.
It should be stated that the Big Ten said that it does have evidence that Harbaugh knew about Connor Stalions’ actions. staffer Connor Stalions has resigned from the Michigan coaching staff, and upon his resignation, said that, to his knowledge, Coach Harbaugh was unaware of Stalions’ actions, as stated by both Stalions and Harbaugh. The punishment is meant to let the team play, while punishing someone who “embodies” the program. It should also be noted that normally the NCAA does a full investigation before punishments are levied, and that the Big Ten was influenced by a bunch of disgruntled coaches and athletic directors and is taking unprecedented action, which is, in a word, absurd.
One more note, the Big Ten decided to administer the punishment while the team was in the air on the way to Happy Valley for Saturday’s game against Penn State, and that’s super not cool. One more note – this Fangirl is not happy, in case that didn’t come across 😂.
Anyhoo, expect Harbaugh and Michigan to sue.
Kyler Murray
He’s baaaaack. For the first time in almost a year, Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray will be back under center, after tearing his ACL on Dec. 12, 2022. Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon made the announcement on Friday.
The Cardinals have gone 1-12 since Murray was injured, so, in theory, this should help things. Arizona will host the Atlanta Falcons for Murray’s return. It will also be fun (funnish?) to see what Gannon can do with the team’s franchise quarterback. May the odds be ever in your favor.
Week 10 NFL Injury Updates
- Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans, while Ja’Marr Chase (back) is listed as questionable. Paging Tyler Boyd!
- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Saints, though head coach Kevin O’Connell called a return in Week 10 “a little aggressive” earlier in the week. Jefferson injured his hamstring on Oct. 8.
- Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs was limited in Friday’s practice with a back injury. They play Monday night so his game status will be known on Saturday.
- WR Deebo Samuel will be back in action for San Francisco, but OL Trent Williams is being listed as questionable, or as Kyle Shanahan said, “real questionable.”
