Sports has a way of connecting us beyond the stats and highlights. Of course I love a good statistic and a backbreaking slam dunk, but the humanity that sports radiates has the ability to help us relate to one another in the X’s and O’s of life — and that is what always has me coming back for more.

I am a Georgia native that has found several homes across the country thanks to sports. I spent several years in North and South Dakota covering college athletics in the Midwest before residing in Charlotte, North Carolina. In case you are wondering, yes it is very cold in the Dakotas, and yes, people do live there!
