The 49ers are done for the season, but the show must go on as 12 NFL teams prepare to fight for a trip to Super Bowl 51 in Houston. Let the games begin!

The Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Falcons will have a bye this weekend, while the Seahawks take on the Lions and the Giants take on the Packers. Let’s take a look!

  • Starting in Seattle, the Seahawks will enjoy home field advantage – the best in the league potentially – as they welcome the Lions to Century Link Field.
  • Seattle is dealing with a host of injuries, so it’s going to be all about Russell Wilson and the passing game. Wilson is dealing with a knee issue himself so he will need is very unreliable offensive line to get reliable fast.
  • The Seahawk defense is not what it was and they will be up against Matthew Stafford and his 93.3 passer rating and 24 TDs.
  • That being said, the Lions haven’t won a playoff game since 1991 and Seattle is at home, so I’m giving the win to the Seahawks (but rooting for the Lions).

Next, let’s go to the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field for the Packers and the Giants.

  • Aaron Rodgers has been pretty much unstoppable over the last several weeks, which has made the Packers unstoppable. They’ve won six in a row, while Rodgers has thrown a league-best 40 TDs this season, while only throwing seven interceptions. That’s a good ratio.
  • However, he will be going up against a VERY strong defense, led by the great free agent signings of Janoris Jenkins, Olivier Vernon, and Damon Harrison. New York’s defense has eight sacks in its last four games.
  • Giants’ quarterback Eli Manning has won two playoff games at Levi’s stadium and with wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. fresh off a Miami trip to party with Justin Bieber, what can possibly go wrong?
  • This is a tough one to predict – elite QB vs. elite defense. But Aaron’s at home. Packers win.

Good luck this weekend gentleman! May the best teams win!
