After what seems like an eternity, it is finally time for football! With the 2017 NFL season officially kicking off on Sept. 7, the NFL Network held an event to celebrate its most recent analysts inducted into the Hall of Fame and unveil its MediaCruiser.

NFL Network Hall of Famers

The event held last week in Los Angeles included NFL Network host Rich Eisen, President of the NFL Network and NFL Digital Media, Mary Ann Turcke, Michael Irvin, Marshall Faulk and guests of honor, Kurt Warner, Terrell Davis, and LaDainian Tomlinson.

It was a great day with the guys trading both Hall of Fame and Behind-the-Scenes stories before everyone went outside for a reception and to check out the MediaCruiser, which will make its network debut on September 14 in Cincinnati when the Bengals host the Houston Texans. The Cruiser will be the set for Thursday Night Football’s pregame show.

The Los Angeles Chargers will play the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football on December 16. Tomlinson talked about the different ways his Chargers can able to make an impact in their new city.

“I think the players and the organization are really excited for a new opportunity here in LA,” said Tomlinson. “An opportunity to grow the brand of the Chargers, but also to have an impact on different communities here in LA…But I know for sure that the players are so excited to be in this market, but at then end of the day, you have to be able to win here if you want the support of the fans.”

Speaking of those fans. How about a little intra-city rivalry with the Los Angeles Rams?

“Both teams are fairly new to the LA area, and both teams, honestly, are fighting for the fans in LA,” Tomlinson said. “…But I’ll say this, there are so many fans in LA. LA is sports and entertainment mecca of the world. So there are so many different communities, so many towns, that fans can choose which team to support. I think there are enough fans to go around.”

I don’t disagree. Here at Fangirl Sports Network, we have Fangirls for both teams. Is it September yet? I am ready for some football.

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
