Well 49er fans, week three of the 2016 NFL season has come and gone, and things are looking a lot like 2015. The Niners are 1-2 and were embarrassed on the road against an NFC West rival. They looked entirely unprepared, as the Seattle Seahawks bulldozed right over them on their way to a 37-18 victory, and it was really never that close. The only bright spots for San Francisco were two 4th quarter touchdowns by running back Carlos Hyde and he is pretty much the offense at this point. Fans are calling for a quarterback change, but head coach Chip Kelly says not yet.
What else is there to say really? It was a bad game, but we’re a podcast, so we still found plenty to discuss. Even so, Steph and I thought we’d bring in a different perspective. On today’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, we are joined by writer and Seattle fan Danielle Campoamor to talk about:
- The 49ers vs. Seahawks and whether or not it still matters
- Christine Michel’s breakout game
- The Kaepernick vs. Gabbert debate
- Steph and I on the Kelly train
- How we still miss Jim Harbaugh
- And which defense will show up to Levi’s Stadium for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys.
It’s been a tough couple of weeks in Ninerland, but chin up Faithful, it’s only week four. That is potentially good news and bad news.
