Hello Ramily! I don’t know about you all, but I am barely recovering from Monday Night. I’m just going to say it. That game was so embarrassing and I think the dude running across the field got more yards than our offense. BUT, I am a fan through and through so onto the next and I am restoring my faith in the Los Angeles Rams. This week is a big one and a tough one. The Rams have their first regular season home game Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks and improvements need to be made.
On this week’s Talking Touchdowns game preview, I break down the match up between our guys in the blue and gold and the visiting Seahawks. There is a lot to talk about, and some of the highlights, or lowlights as they may be, are:
- The Rams’ lack of offense that ended the game with 195 total yards. This week, QB Case Keenum needs improve on his 130 yards passing and find a way to get both Kenny Britt down field Tavon Austin more involved. Frankly, I’d like to see Keenum not play QB this week but I’m not so sure that’s an option.
- Todd Gurley, who only rushed for 47 yards on 17 carries. If the Rams want to win at all this season, Gurley is going to need to put up much bigger numbers than that.
- On the defensive side of the ball, Aaron Donald showed some serious frustration by the end of the game causing his ejection but can you blame him? The defense will have to do a better job bringing the pressure against QB Russell Wilson. And Donald is going to have to learn to control his temper.
- Penalties, there were WAY TOO many penalties, with the team ending the night with 10 penalties for 102 yards. This week, they MUST minimize their penalties.
- And, of course, my game prediction.
Sunday has the potential to be another rough one, but we’ll hope for the best.
