Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers

Boy, that Week 2 victory sure didn’t taste as sweet as victory is supposed to — probably because the Seahawks defeated the 49ers by the skin of their teeth.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Tennessee Titans

The Titans and Seahawks both went into Week 2 with the same 0-1 record and both teams came out with big victories to bring them to .500 on the season.

Titans’ head coach Mike Mularkey has coined the term “exotic smashmouth” when referring to his offense. For those of you scratching your heads because this is the first you’ve ever heard of this, don’t fret, it’s simply described as a combination of several offensive concepts that were constructed to perfectly fit the Titans’ personnel.

Derrick Henry and Demarco Murray embody this smashmouth persona to a T. The aforementioned Henry had a monster game against the Jags last week tallying 92 yards on 14 carries and a TD. The Hawks run defense will have to be on point this week.

Russell Wilson was sacked three times again, that’s six total in the first two weeks of the season. Something has got to give guys! If the o-line can’t figure this whole protecting the quarterback thing fast, it’s going to be a very long season.

The Seahawks managed to score their first TD of the season in the 4th quarter of the game and then proceed to miss the extra point. There are just so many missteps from what used to be a very disciplined offense!

Game Prediction

My prediction for this game is that it’s going to be a battle of the mobile QB’s. It’s going to come down to what Russell Wilson and Marcus Mariota can do to evade their opposing defenses and create plays.

I am putting my faith in the Seahawks to pull this one out in a 17-10 victory. Go Hawks!
