You win some. You lose some. In the case of the San Francisco 49ers, they just keep losing, and in ugly fashion. Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals was no exception, with the 49ers losing 24-10, and frankly, it was never really that close. So the beat goes on for the 4-10 Niners, as they play their final two games against the Detroit Lions and St. Louis Rams, on the road and at home, respectively.

It’s abundantly clear that changes need to be made with all aspects of this team, starting with the coaching staff. On this week’s Talking Touchdowns podcast, SoCaliSteph and I were joined by CSNBayArea.com’s Matt Maiocco to talk about the state of the 49ers and where they go from here. We covered a wide range of topics, including:

  • Who the 49ers miss most from Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff
  • Who is most likely to be the new 49ers’ offensive coordinator, should Geep Chryst be fired
  • Whether or not the Niners should use a high draft pick on a quarterback
  • And what our predictions are for their final record.

Thanks for listening, and please let us know your thoughts. Go Niners!
