Geno Smith
Seattle can breathe a sigh of relief, as it seems that QB Geno Smith is going to be just fine. Adam Schefter is reporting that nothing significant was found in tests to knee and hip injuries, with a source telling Schefter the quarterback “shouldn’t miss any time.”
Smith, who is reportedly having a good start to training camp, missed Wednesday and Thursday’s practices, giving Sam Howell first-team reps. It’s always good to be prepared.
More News from NFL Training Camps
- Chargers QB Justin Herbert is dealing with a plantar fascia injury in his right foot. It will require him to wear a walking boot for two weeks, but the expectation is that the quarterback will be ready for Week 1.
- Per multiple reports, Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins will miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury. With Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season five weeks away, this is one to watch.
- Weather cut the Hall of Fame Game short, but Bears QB Brett Rypien had time to throw three touchdown passes and lead Chicago to victory.
