  • Bills’ WR Keon Coleman (wrist) and TE Dalton Kincaid (knee) are questionable for Sunday.
  • Chiefs’ WR Mecole Hardman (knee) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
  • The 49ers will again be without LT Trent Williams (ankle) on Sunday, while DT Nick Bosa (oblique) is doubtful.
  • Jets’ RB Breece Hall (knee) and CB Sauce Gardner (hamstring) are both doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
  • Bears’ WR DJ Moore (quad) and RB D’Andre Swift (quad) are both questionable for Sunday’s game against the 49ers.
  • Steelers’ WR George Pickers (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday.

Jacob Trouba

The New York Rangers have traded Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks, per ESPN.

Trouba had a 15-team no-trade clause in his contract, but that Southern California weather was too good to pass up. I made that last part up, but it couldn’t have hurt. Welcome to Cali, Jacob!

Jaylen Brown

The NBA is fining Boston Celtics’ forward Jaylen Brown $25,000 for making a throat slash gesture after a slam dunk during Wednesday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons. Fair, that gesture seems excessive.

The fine could not have come as a surprise, as Brown told the media he figured he’d be hearing from the league about it.

Lionel Messi

Inter Miami CF superstar Lionel Messi is the winner of the 2024 Landon Donovan MVP Award. In 19 matches, Messi had 20 goals and 16 appearances, and he is the third person in the history of the league to have at least 20 goals and 15 assists in a single season.

Messi joined Miami in July 2023, so 2024 was his first full season with the team. He missed 62 days with an ankle injury and still put up those numbers. He’s the G.O.A.T. for a reason.
