Matthew Stafford is Staying in LA

The Los Angeles Rams finished the 2024 season one win shy of the NFC Championship game. So why would they let their star QB walk away? They won’t, as the Rams and Matthew Stafford have agreed to a restructured contract, and SoFi breathes a sigh of relief.

Stafford’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, was given permission by the Rams to talk to other teams about Stafford’s value. Discussions were had with the Raiders and the Giants, but the Rams get their Hollywood ending.

With the Stafford question answered, other teams and other QBs can figure out their 2025 plans.

Will Aaron Rodgers Stay a New Yorker?

After the New York Jets told Aaron Rodgers they’re moving on, the veteran QB may be staying in the Big Apple, as Adam Schefter is reporting that the New York Giants are interested. With Tommy DeVito as their only QB currently on the roster, this tracks. The Giants also have third pick in the NFL Draft, but it’s not a particularly strong quarterback draft class, so…

Rodgers’ brief tenure with the Jets included a 6-12 record and a torn Achilles about three seconds into his first game. You know what they say, home is where the heart is, or at least where a second NFL franchise is.

Anthony Edwards Suspension

After committing two technical fouls in Thursday night’s, 111-102, loss to the Lakers, the Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards was given an automatic one-game suspension.

The technical was Edwards’ 16th of the season.

The Chicago Sky are Headed to the United Center (for a bit)

One would imagine an Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark matchup would be a hot WNBA ticket. One would be right! As a result, the Sky are moving both of this season’s games against the Indiana Fever to the United Center.

Currently, the Sky play at Wintrust Arena, which holds 10,000 fans. The United Center has the capacity for more than 20,000 fans.

The games are scheduled to be played June 7 and July 27, with tickets going on sale March 11.
