NBA Finals
Can anyone stop the Denver Nuggets? So far, that’s a no. The NBA Finals have begun and it’s the Western Conference Champion Nuggets against the Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat.

The action began Thursday night, with Denver beating Miami, 104-93, to take a 1-0 series lead. Nikola Jokic continued his triple-double playoff masterclass, finishing the night with 27 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds. Jamal Murray had 26 points, 10 assists and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat only made it to the free throw line twice and Jimmy Butler had just 13 points. The Nuggets are so good defensively…and offensively…and they’re just really good.

Game 2 tips off on Sunday at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT from Ball Arena and will be broadcast on ABC.

Stanley Cup Final

Phoenix Suns

It looks like the Phoenix Suns have found their new coach, while their former coach found a new home.

The Suns fired Monty Williams after an early playoff exit – still seemed like a bad move from the Suns, but whatever. Williams agreed to a six-year, $78.5 million contract with the Detroit Pistons earlier this week, so he’s probably happy.

ESPN is reporting that Phoenix has offered its vacant head coaching gig to Frank Vogel and are finalizing a five-year deal. Vogel led the Los Angeles Lakers to a championship in 2020.
