Donte DiVincenzo

The Milwaukee Bucks were dealt a huge blow when the team announced Friday that starting guard Donte DiVincenzo is out for the remainder of the playoffs with a torn ligament in his left ankle.

The injury happened in the first half of Milwaukee’s 113-84 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday. The Bucks had first said that the injury was a left foot contusion, but DiVincenzo had an MRI on Friday that revealed otherwise.

Julio Jones

Falcons’ wide receiver Julio Jones wants out of Atlanta, and there are about 31 NFL teams that would love to have him, give or take.

Per ESPN’s Dianna Russini, the Falcons have been in discussions on a number of offers, including one for a future first-round draft pick. Jones is due a fully guaranteed base salary of $15.3 million this season. Waiting until after June 1 to trade the wide receiver would be helpful to Atlanta’s salary cap situation. Terrible Fan Behavior

Although we’ve seen some fantastic games in Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs, we have also, unfortunately, seen some terrible behavior from the fans.

On Wednesday night alone, the following three things happened: a fan in Philadelphia dumped popcorn on the Wizards’ Russell Westbrook, a Knicks fan spit on the Hawks’ Trae Young and fans in Utah directed racial epithets at the family of the Grizzlies’ Ja Morant.

The Knicks, Jazz and 76ers all identified the fans in question and have banned them for life, as they should. My question – what in the hell is wrong with people? In what universe does any human being think they can treat another human being that way? Be better as fans, be better as people. That behavior is disgusting.

Braves’ Mike Soroka Under Evaluation

Earlier today Atlanta Braves’ manager Brian Snitker said that pitcher Mike Soroka will miss the remainder of the 2021 season after suffering a setback while recovering from a torn right achilles tendon, to which he now says might not be true. “I messed up earlier. I was wrong,” Snitker told reporters.

Instead, Soroka will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Soroka was the team’s 2020 Opening Day starter but was injured on August 3. In 2019, the right-hander went 13-4 with 2.68 ERA.
