Christian McCaffrey
Though he is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bucs, expectations are that San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey will make his 2024 debut this week. The team plans to activate him off IR on Saturday.
McCaffrey, who missed most of training camp and all of the preseason with a calf injury, has been dealing with Achilles tendinitis the last several months.
With the 49ers coming off a bye week and McCaffrey’s conditioning being ramped up week–by–week, the running back/pass catcher/every so often QB, was a limited participant in this week’s practices, and 49ers’ head coach Kyle Shanahan said he expects McCaffrey to play.
Welcome back, CMC.
Thursday Night Football Stars
It’s a shame that one team has to win, and one has to lose, as both the Bengals and Ravens played their hearts out on Thursday night. Some of the highlights:

October Sports
October is the best month for sports fans. MLB playoffs, the NFL, college football, the WNBA finals, the start of the NBA season, the start of the NHL season, etc., etc. As such, it appears that it’s a pretty good month for sportsbooks.
New York sportsbooks took in more than $2.3 billion (yes billion) in October. Have a great weekend, New Yorkers (and all of Fangirl Nation)!
