NLDS Game 5

It’s win or go home when Game 5 of the NLDS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres takes place on Friday night from Dodger Stadium at 8:08 pm ET/5:08 pm PT on FOX. Guess who I’m rooting for to win 😜.

The series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres has been everything a division rivalry in the playoffs should be. We’ve seen Shohei Ohtani’s first postseason home run, that Padres’ offense, that Dodgers’ offense, some stellar pitching and, of course, a lot of, well, words exchanged.

It will be Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound for the Dodgers and Yu Darvish for the Padres. Shohei Ohtani wanted to see his fellow countrymen face each other in the postseason, and it’s happening.

The winner will play the New York Mets in the NLCS with Game 1 being on Sunday.

GO DODGERS!

Who Will Face the Yankees in the ALCS?

The New York Yankees beat the Kansas City Royals on Thursday to advance to the American League Championship Series. Gerrit Cole gave the Yankees seven innings, giving up only one run.

Game 1 of the ALCS takes place on Monday from Yankee Stadium, but the Bronx Bombers are waiting on their opponent, as the Cleveland Guardians forced a Game 5. They take on the Detroit Tigers on Saturday at 1:08 pm ET/10:08 am PT. The game will be broadcast on TBS/Max.

Jordan Mason

San Francisco 49ers’ running back Jordan Mason has a sprained AC joint. He left the game during the first half of San Francisco’s Thursday night win over the Seahawks. Mason came back in to start the third quarter but was only able to play on snap.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Friday that the NFL’s leading rusher (609 yards) will be day-to-day. The 49ers are already without Christian McCaffrey and Shanahan said they will not open his practice window this week. They will, however, open the practice window for WR Ricky Pearsall.

  • Giants’ WR Malik Nabers (concussion) is out for Sunday.
