Hi Chiefs Kingdom!

BOOM! We did it AGAIN! 4 and 0! We are the ONLY team in the NFL right now that is undefeated! I know, I am getting a little ahead of myself, but…SUPER BOWL? I see it, I feel it, there’s no stopping us! With four seconds left in the game, rookie kicker Harrison Butker hit a 43-yard field goal and to finish it off, linebacker Justin Houston scored a touchdown on a fumble return. The Chiefs beat the Redskins 29 – 20. Up next, the Chiefs hit the road and travel down south to play against the Houston Texans who are 2-2, on Sunday, October 8th. Let’s see what we’re up against.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans

Offense

Let’s talk Chiefs’ offense! Alex Smith had an INCREDIBLE game. He completed 27 of 37 passes for 293 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 56 yards and scored a rushing touchdown. Kareem Hunt carried the ball 21 times for 101 yards. Travis Kelce had seven receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown. Did you see his end zone dance? It was AMAZING! Rookie Kicker, Harrison Butker missed his first field goal. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous, but then he turned it around and completed three field goals, including the game winner.

The Texans destroyed the Tennessee Titans last week, 57-14. They scored the most points in franchise history. Quarterback Deshaun Watson completed 25 of his 34 passes for 283 yards and four touchdowns and an interception. Lamar Miller and D’onta Foreman carried the ball a combined 32 times for 120 yards and a touchdown. De’andre Hopkins caught the ball 10 times for 107 yards and a touchdown. Our defense will need to be all over this O-line.

Defense

On to the Chiefs defense. Our defense started pretty slow, giving up 10 points in the first half. In the second half, they stepped it up and applied pressure to Kirk Cousins and the O-line.

The Texans hard hitting D forced five turnovers in the game, four interceptions and a fumble recovery. The Texans’ Dylan Cole and Andre Hall had a combined total of nine tackles, one sack and three interceptions in last week’s game against the Titans. Houston’s defense is excellent, but our O-line can take this on as long as they protect Smith throughout the game.

Game Prediction

The Chiefs defense and offense are on point! We need to stay on top of Watson and their O-line and the game is ours.
