The San Francisco 49ers drafted tight end George Kittle in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was a teammate and roommate of quarterback C.J. Beathard at Iowa. He finished his career with the Hawkeyes with 48 receptions for 737 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Since rookie minicamp, Kittle has been a standout player on this team. He has looked great at practice and should see quite a bit of playing time, if not the starting tight end job, come the fall. He had a tough day on day one of mandatory minicamp, but he finished strong, catching a touchdown pass from Brian Hoyer on play-action. It’s not how you start. It’s how you finish.

Before practice, I had a chance to talk with Kittle and learn more about him with, you guessed it, 5 Fun Facts. Watch the above video to learn:

  • His favorite fast food restaurant and go-to order
  • His favorite television show, his favorite characters and why he wouldn’t want to be on the show
  • His favorite color
  • His favorite game, other than football, that gets played at his family reunions
  • And his favorite musical artist and what his NFL Combine playlist consisted of.
