1. Gaming for a cause. Along with donating $100K to relief efforts around Phoenix, Devin Booker is getting creative and raising money by doing something he loves…playing video games. That’s right, while streaming on Twitch, Devin is taking donations for charity. We love his thinking here! #stayhome
  2. These heroes wear masks, and Gronk is sending more of them. Together with Fangirl favorite Camille Kostek, Gronk is donating 10K masks each to Boston Medical Center and St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. With such high demand for supplies, this duo’s contribution is HUGE. #ThankADoctor
  3. All we need is Love. Kevin Love that is. Once the NBA season was suspended, Kevin wasted no time making sure some of the most important people in the league didn’t feel alone. He committed $100K to support the Cavs arena staff, which started the most heartwarming trend in the NBA. #BiggerThanBasketball
  4. Super teams run the league. As if we needed another reason to love Steph and Ayesha Curry and Russell Wilson and Ciara. The power couples donated 1 MILLION meals each to Oakland and Seattle area food banks (respectively) to make sure everyone in their communities gets the food they need. #goals
  5. Who Dat Nation for life. Drew Brees has played almost his entire career in New Orleans, and it’s clear he loves his community as much as they love him. Drew and his family pledged $5 million (!!!) to the state to help keep the hope and get through this time together.
  6. Stronger together. More than 75 athletes from around sports have teamed up to form “Athletes for COVID-19 Relief”. Everyone from Steph Curry to Simone Biles has donated a piece of signed memorabilia that’ll be auctioned off to support the CDP’s COVID-19 Response Fund. Talk about All-Stars!
  7. Beat it. Conquer it. After being cleared by doctors following his diagnosis with COVID-19, Marcus Smart plans to donate his blood plasma to research efforts on the blood of those who have recovered. This is huge btw, and the Sham’s Bomb we needed last night.

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
