1. 60 and counting. David scored his 60th goal this season via a hat trick on Sunday to become the second Bruins player to ever record 60+ goals in a single season. He also became the third player in NHL history to score his 60th goal with a hat trick.
  2. Pasta’s pasta. David is known by the nickname “Pasta” and in 2021 he partnered with Stop & Shop to release his own pasta. The Pasta pasta cost 88 cents, in nod to his number, and all the proceeds went to pediatric cancer research.
  3. “Alexa play ‘Barbie Girl.’” David went viral for his love of the song “Barbie Girl” after a postgame interview during a game at Lake Tahoe. Sporting ‘90’s sunglasses, he chirped at broadcasters for interrupting him dancing to the song in the locker room to do the interview.
  4. Making dad proud. David was encouraged to play hockey by his father as a child. His dad lost his battle with cancer in 2013, and David cites making his dad proud as his inspiration for becoming a professional hockey player.
  5. Eko’s dad. David has a dog named Eko that he calls “little rabbit.” During the pandemic, David entertained fans by racing his dog in an eating contest off the floor.
