1. First of hopefully many. This season, Jalen not only won his first career playoff game, he is also making his first career Super Bowl appearance. Not bad for only being in his third NFL season.
  2. Girl’s rule Jalen’s football world. Jalen’s management team from social media, marketing, communications and his agent are all females. He also honored female empowerment for his “My Cause, My Cleats” in 2021, choosing to support the Women’s Sports Foundation.
  3. Fresh Prince of Philly. During Week 17, Jalen showed up dressed as Will Smith’s character from “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” He wore a green Bel-Air Academy jersey and flipped his hat up just like Will.
  4. Degree secured. Jalen earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications, with an emphasis on Public Relations, from Alabama in 2018. He transferred to Oklahoma as a graduate student and studied Human Relations.
  5. “Jalen Special.” That’s the name of Jalen’s cheesesteak (which features seasoned steak, fried onions, cooper sharp cheese and mayo) he made for FoodChasers’ Kitchen, a small Black-owned business in Philly. Jalen met the twin sister owners after filming a commercial and even stopped by the shop after the NFC Championship game.

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
