- A year for the ages. 2022 was a career year for Sophia, who won her first NWSL Championship with the Portland Thorns. She was named the 2022 NWSL MVP, NWSL Championship Game MVP and U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year.
- Pregame reads. Sophia’s favorite hobby is reading. She enjoys reading before game days and her favorite book genre is Rom-coms.
- Animal whisper. Sophia grew up with many pets including a sugar glider, tortoise, bunny, fish, two parakeets, two Guinea pigs and a dog. She even signed up to walk dogs on Rover when she first moved to Portland.
- Hoops family. Sophia grew up in a basketball family thanks to her dad who played college hoops at the University of Wyoming. Sophia played basketball competitively into high school and her two sisters stuck with the sport.
- Sophia’s design show. Growing up, Sophia always dreamed of being a professional athlete or an interior designer with her own HGTV show. She describes her taste as boho, eclectic and clean.
