1. He’s a family guy. While accepting his MVP Award after Game 7, Stephen said that his wife and their two daughters are his world. That definitely makes him #1 Dad in our book!
  2. Welcome to Strasburg, literally. When Stephen was drafted in 2010, the town of Strasburg, Virginia considered changing its name to Stephen Strasburg for the day, but it didn’t happen. Once Stephen pitched the Nats to a Game 7, discussion of the name change picked up again. Will they change it for an MVP this time?
  3. Stras the pup. Humane Rescue Alliance in DC has a bunch of puppers named after Nats players that are looking for their forever homes. Stephen sponsored the adoption of his namesake, which just happened to come on the night he pitched and won Game 2 of the World Series. Let’s just say it was a good night for Strasburgs.
  4. From Tommy John to World Series MVP real quick. During the last decade, Stephen has been drafted first overall, made his MLB debut, had Tommy John Surgery, been shut down for a playoff run, been an All-Star 3 times, won a Silver Slugger Award, and won a World Series Ring and MVP. Not a bad resume if you ask us.
  5. College history! By winning World Series MVP, Stephen joins Kawhi Leonard as the FIRST players EVER from the same university to be named championship MVP in the same season. Both guys played for San Diego State. #GoAztecs
