The San Francisco 49ers open their season tonight against the Los Angeles Rams. Blaine Gabbert gets the nod as QB1, and all eyes will be on him to see if he truly has what it takes to lead the Niners’ offense to victory. Gabbert’s eyes will most likely be on tight end Vance McDonald. McDonald has been Gabbert’s favorite target and the two men work well together on the field.
McDonald, a Texas native who went to Rice, was a 2013 second round draft pick by San Francisco. He is 6’4 and 267 pounds. His middle name is Coman and that is also the name of his newborn son.
After practice last week, I had a chance to talk to Vance and get to know him a little better with 5 Fun Facts About Vance McDonald. You will learn:
