Hi Chiefs Kingdom! Welcome to Talking Touchdowns!

Sunday football was not the same without seeing our boys play, but they had some much needed time off during their bye week to relax, reenergize and refocus after that 28-17 loss to the Cowboys. We need to finish the 2nd half of the season still in 1st place in the division and head to the playoffs.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Giants

The 1-8 New York Giants host the 6-3 Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, November 19th at MetLife stadium. Let’s see what we’re up against.

Offense

In the Chiefs’ last game against the Cowboys, Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith completed 25 of his 34 passes for 263 yards with two touchdowns and his first interception of the year. Chiefs’ Tight end Travis Kelce caught the ball seven times for 73 yards and one touchdown. Plus his potato sack race was one of his best end zone celebrations I’ve ever seen! Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill, or as we all know him the Cheetah, caught the ball twice for 64 yards and one, 57 yard “Hill Mary” touchdown.

The Giants fell last week to the the 49ers 21-31 and many people are calling for their coach, Ben McAdoo to be fired. Shoutout to 49ers Fangirl for your first win of the season! The Giants are 25th in total yards, averaging 307.6 yards per game. They are tied for 28th in scoring at 16.7 points per game.

The Giants quarterback Eli Manning has completed 215 of his 333 passes this season for 2,093 yards with 14 touchdowns and six interceptions. However, losing star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. earlier in the season due to a fractured ankle has definitely affected their pass game. The Giants special teams are struggling. Giants kicker Aldrick Ross has connected on 10 of his 15 field goals of the season. They are ranked 29th in the NFL for touchbacks.

Defense

The Chiefs defense ranks 19th in the in the league by allowing an average of 23.1 points per game. They have allowed an average of 390.3 yards per game which ranks them in the lower half of the NFL. We have to apply pressure to Manning and stop the run game.

The Giants defense is ranked 31st in total defense. Their defense has allowed 400.3 yards and 26.6 points per game. They have allowed 82 points in their last two games alone. Smith, Hunt, Kelce, did you hear that? Let’s score some TD’s boys!

Game Prediction

This is game is ours to take! The Chiefs have had the time off to review film, fix the opportunities on the offensive line, our run game and in our defense to finish with a win. Plus, the Giants are one of the worst teams in the NFL right now. Sorry Giants, this one’s in the bag. Go Chiefs!
