Broncos Faithful, if you’re still repping orange and blue proudly, I am proud of you! It’s time for this week’s edition of Talking Touchdowns and the Denver Broncos need more than fan support at this point the season. The Broncos will pay a visit to the 4-7 Miami Dolphins, who are in almost as bad of shape as the Broncos.
Let’s take a look at the matchup:
Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins
It seems both teams have similar storylines with losing streaks, the QB position in some sort of weird rotation, turnovers causing havoc, and player ejections. The Broncos have run through their options at quarterback, and Paxton Lynch proved (yet again) that a QB change is not going to turn this season around. But it was an opportunity for him to prove himself as a starting QB.
The Dolphins began this season with QB Ryan Tannehill in training camp, but he suffered a season ending knee injury. Then it was on to Jay Cutler (and I know how Broncos Country feels about Jay Cutler), and on Sunday, Matt Moore made his second start of the season and made his record 0-2.
It seems that one of the consistent storylines for the Broncos’ demise is turnovers, and, up to this point, they’ve suffered 17 of them and the Dolphins feel the same pain with a total of 10 turnovers on the season.
Blame frustration from poor seasons or beef between players, but both teams saw unnecessary ejections on Sunday. Broncos’ cornerback Aqib Talib was ejected just minutes into the game against the Raiders on Sunday after ripping Michael Crabtree’s chain off his neck and proceeded to throw punches. Dolphins’ cornerback Bobby McCain was ejected on Sunday after punching Patriots’ wide receiver Danny Amendola.
Game Prediction
It doesn’t look good for either team, but my game prediction is: Broncos 24- Dolphins 14
