Tennessee Volunteers Football

The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions found the Tennessee football program guilty of over 200 infractions. All took place under former coach Jeremy Pruitt. The program has been fined over $8 million, has been placed on a five-year probation and will lose 28 scholarships. The Volunteers reduced 16 scholarships on their own over the past two years, so two more will be cut this year and the other 10 over the five-year probation.

Pruitt went 16-19 in three seasons as Tennessee’s head coach and was fired after the 2020 season.
