Buffalo Bills Snow Day
Buffalo is taking the term let it snow super seriously. First, the Bills Sunday game against the Cleveland Browns was moved to Ford Field in Detroit due to snowy conditions. Then, Friday’s practice was cancelled due to, you guessed it, too much snow.
With the area around Highmark Stadium blanketed with three feet of snow, the team decided it was in the best interest of the safety of everybody to meet virtually instead. In terms of travel, the plan is for the Bills to head to Detroit on Saturday, but they may need to leave later in the day than normal, depending on conditions. Stay safe, Buffalo.
Lamar Jackson
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson missed Friday’s practice with an illness, but head coach John Harbaugh is not concerned about his availability for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. “He tried to get to practice, but he was just too sick,” Harbaugh said.
Interestingly, including Friday, Jackson has missed practice six times since 2021 with an illness. This is, however, the first practice the Ravens QB1 has missed this season.
Should Jackson not be able to go, it would be Tyler Huntley under center for Baltimore.
Minkah Fitzpatrick
When the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6) host the Cincinnati Bengals (5-4) on Sunday, it looks like they will have safety Minkah Fitzpatrick on the field. The Pro Bowler, who had an appendectomy a week ago, did not have an injury designation on Friday.
Fitzpatrick’s appendix was removed last Saturday. He took part in Tuesday’s team conditioning, did not practice Wednesday and then practiced in full Thursday and Friday.
NFL Injury News
- The Kansas City Chiefs will be in Los Angeles Sunday night to take on the Chargers, but they will be down two wide receivers, as JuJu Smith-Schuster has a concussion and Mecole Hardman is on IR with an abdominal issue.
- Cleveland Browns’ CB Greg Newsome will be out against the Bills on Sunday, after he got a concussion in practice on Friday.
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans beat the Green Bay Packers, 27-17, on Thursday Night Football, behind Derrick Henry. The running back rushed for 87 yards, bringing his season-total on the ground to 1,010. He also scored his 10th rushing touchdown and threw a three-yard TD pass.
But then the bad news came. Per the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Titans offensive coordinator Todd Downing was charged with a DUI and speeding early Friday morning. The Titans were back in Nashville early on Friday morning and Downing went through the intake process around 4:30 am.
