Bills’ Injuries

The 2-0 Buffalo Bills are on fire, and after two weeks of football, they are a Super Bowl favorite. However, going into their Week 3 match-up with the also 2-0 Miami Dolphins, they are going to be down a few men on both sides of the ball.

Let’s start on defense, where they’ll be without CB Dane Jackson (neck), safety Micah Hyde (neck), DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) and DT Ed Oliver (ankle). But wait, there’s more. Safety Jordan Poyer (foot) and DT Tim Settle (calf) are both questionable for Sunday.

On offense, WR Gabe Davis, TE Dawson Knox and center Mitch Morse are also questionable to play.

Anthony Walker Jr.

The Cleveland Browns beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 29-17, to improve to 2-1 Thursday night, but the win did not come without a major loss.

LB Anthony Walker Jr. suffered a torn quad tendon and will need surgery. Per ESPN, the recovery time is five-to-seven months. Walker was carted off the field in the third quarter of the game with an air cast around his knee.

In Walker’s first season with the Browns (2021), he has 113 tackles and a sack and had accumulated six tackles against the Steelers before getting hurt.

Ime Udoka and the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics suspended head coach Ime Udoka for the 2022-2023 NBA season, after it was discovered that he violated several team policies. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Udoka had an intimate relationship with a woman who is a part of the organization’s staff.

An independent law firm did an investigation into the violations. Celtics’ owner Wyc Grousbeck said on Friday that Udoka will have a “significant” financial penalty as well. Assistant coach Joe Mazzulla will take over as Boston’s interim head coach.

NFL Injury News

  • The Green Bay Packers will be without WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) as they take on Tampa Bay, while the Buccaneers will be without WR Chris Godwin and DT Akiem Hicks. Julio Jones and Russell Gage are questionable.
  • The Indianapolis Colts will be without LB Shaquille Leonard when they host Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Meanwhile, WR Michael Pittman Jr. and WR Alec Pierce are expected to play, while DE Yannick Ngakoue (back) is questionable.

Las Vegas Raiders

The winless Las Vegas Raiders are heading to Tennessee to take on the winless Titans on Sunday. The good news, someone has to win, unless they tie, so I take that back on the good news. Unfortunately, there’s also bad news for the Raiders.

Pro Bowl WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion) is out, as is Pro Bowl LB Denzel Perryman (ankle). Running back Josh Jacobs has an illness and will not travel with the team on Friday.

Winless in Vegas is not a bad movie title.
